A beautiful example of a French Officers or Campaign clock by Laine of Paris, in Rosewood with marquetry inlays, and dating to circa 1830-1840. The clock has been fully cleaned and serviced, and the 8 day duration movement is in perfect working order. With a silk suspension and bell striking on the hours, with a passing single strike on the half hour, this is a lovely little clock. To the top is a glass viewing pane through which the movement can be viewed, with its ormulu carrying handle above. The rear door comes open be means of a working catch, and it measures 24cm high, x 14.5 cm wide and 11 cm deep
